Dyanna Taylor is an Emmy award winning Director and Director of Photography whose prominent career in documentaries and features has earned her a Peabody Award as well as the honored Muse Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Vision and Achievement in Cinematography from New York Women in Film and Television.
Currently, Dyanna is directing portions of an upcoming Disney feature to be released early 2020.
Now playing in theaters is “WHO WILL WRITE OUR HISTORY” for which Dyanna was the DoP. A compelling drama about the secret Warsaw Ghetto archives, it was filmed on location in Poland.
As Director/Director of Photography, Dyanna produced DOROTHEA LANGE: GRAB A HUNK OF LIGHTNING which aired on PBS’s American Masters Series, as well as Canadian and European Channels. The film has special meaning for her. She is Lange’s granddaughter, and has been deeply influenced by her grandmother’s sensibility and esthetic.
Dyanna began in the film business in San Francisco producing and directing documentaries and local commercials and later moved to NY were she became among the early women to be admitted to IATSE. Her extensive credits include work for all of the major US network and cable media organizations including HBO, PBS, NETFLIX, ABC, CBS, National Geographic, and Disney.
